The graph below compares changes in the birth rates of China and the USA

between 1920 and 2000.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make

comparisons where relevant.

The line chart illustrates the fertilities proportion between china and the usa from 1920 to 2000.

Overall, as can be seen obviously recognized from the chart, general pattern was downward both china and the usa. Moreover, the birth portion in the usa was always higher than china from 1920 to 2000, except for the period between 1930 and 1955.

In 1920, the birth rates of two countries had difference about rates at 1%. However, in 2000, this rate was significant increased by 5%, 5 times as much as 1920. From 1920 to 1930, this rate in both countries had the same approximately alteration . From 1930 to 1950, there had a lot of different fluctuations in both countries, the birth rate in the usa plummeted before bottoming out at 4% in 1945 and recover to 15% in 1950, beside that , the birth rate in china had plunged in 5% before peaking at 20% in 1950. From 1950 to 2000, the usa and china witnessed the slightly decline and deteriorated at 2% and 7% respectively.
