The chart illustrates the proportion of people using four different forms of media to access news from 1995 and the prediction to 2025.

Overall, it is apparent that, while the internet went on an upward trend during the period, the other types both saw a reduction in the proportion of users.

The percentage of people who watched TV in 1995 was the highest, with nearly 70%. The figure then decreased gradually to under 60% in 2005, despite a marginal rise of 10% from 2005 to 2010. It is predicted to hit the rate at exactly 50% in 2025. People using radio and newspapers as a form of gaining news experienced similar downward trends starting at more than 50% in 1995, then witnessed a substantial decline over the period of 2005 to 2020. Finally, the expectation is that nearly 30% of people use newspapers and roughly 25% will listen to music.

Despite only becoming available in 1995 and gaining only a small amount of people using the internet in 2000, then it quickly went an dramatical growth in the next 20 years, with 40% of people using it. The figure is predicted to rise to 55% in 2025 due to the advancement of the internet.
