TASK 1: the changes in annual spending by the particular UK school

The pie charts illustrate the information about yearly costs by the particular UK school between 1981 and 2001.

Overall, two of the total categories had a downward trend including other workers' salaries and resources e.g books items. Meanwhile, the remaining categories increased and teachers' salaries accounted for the most spending through the period shown.

In 1981, teachers' salaries stood at two-fifths of total school spending, more than 12% compared with other workers' salaries which started at 28%. These costs for resources e.g books and furniture and equipment were the same at 15%. By contrast, insurance was only paid 2% per year. Next 10 years. teachers' salaries reached the top which made up a half of total school spending while other workers' salaries slightly decreased by 6%. There was a small increase in paying for resources and insurance, about 20% and 3% respectively. Furniture and equipment were less paid than itself in 1981, which fell to 5%.

In 2001, although teachers' salaries slightly dropped to 45% it still accounted for the most paying in a year. Besides, these costs for furniture and equipment soared from 5% to 23 % and this figure for insurance also increased nearly twice times from 3% to 8%. The annual spending on resources and other workers' salaries significantly fell by 11% and 7% respectively
