Between 1990 and 1995, there was a decrease of about 7% in the average house costs in Tokyo and London. Over the same period, the prices in Madrid and Frankfurt rose by around two and three percent respectively.
The rest of the graph reveals that although the average house prices in New York decreased by 5% from 1990 to 1995, it doubled over the following years to finish the survey with a 5% increase compared to those in 1989. The same trend was virtually true about the average home prices in London (-7% to +12%).
