Overall, there are ten main stages in the production of chocolate, starting with the collection of pods from cacao trees and ending with the production of liquid chocolate.

At the first stage, the red pods are harvested from cacao trees, most of which are grown in South America, Africa, and Indonesia. After collecting the pods, the white cacao beans inside the pods are taken out and fermented. At the fourth stage, those are spread under sunlight to dry and put into large sacks to prepare for the next stage. The process is continued by transportation by train, lorry, or ship to the factory. Then, the beans are taken to roast and the roasted beans are poured into a crusher to remove the outer shell of the beans. At the final stage, the inner part of the bean
is pressed to produce liquid chocolate, and the process is complete.
