The bar chart, combined with the table, compare males and females in the UK in terms of their amount of time per day doing household chores divided into six sectors including meal preparation, house cleaning, take care of clothes, maintenance, childcare, and gardening/ pet care.

Overall, British women spend more time on household activities than men on almost all tasks with the exception of maintenance. Of all the division between genders, taking care of clothes is at least allocated by British men

Cooking, baking, washing up are the most time-consuming for women in domestic tasks, 74 minutes compared to 30 minutes for men. the similar pattern was seen in cleaning, house tidying for which the value of women come close second at 58 minutes. Additionally, British men spend 2 minutes on clothes, noticeably 23 minutes fewer than women does.

There are two task males spend more time than females. The gardening, pet care takes up 49.5 minutes of men and 21 minutes of women in comparison with maintenance odd jobs allotted time are 26 minutes and 9.5 minutes respectively.
