The maps illustrate the current road system and a plan for changing in the future to improve commuters’ safety.
Overall, it is obvious that the roundabout is intended to be placed at the junction of the city road and the forest road. Additionally, a series of traffic lights will also be installed where collisions and accidents used to occur.
On the west side of the map, it can be seen that the city road at the present contains a couple of turns and is not on a straight line with its extension. In addition to the shortage of traffic signals, accidents are frequently occurring, especially along the low lane, in proximity to the school and the residential areas. On the east side, the supermarket connects to the city road by a turn to the north.
Regarding the new road system proposed for future use, the two parts of the city road will be straightened and will meet at a new large roundabout. The supermarket will be isolated from the main road, and only accessed by following the new road connecting directly to the roundabout. In the school's area, traffic lights will be placed at four corners of the junction to minimize the risks of a poor traffic system affecting the inhabitants around.
