This is a report I have written for Task 1 in IELTS. Could you correct it for me and give me any advices for improving? Thank you in advance.

The table below shows the rate of women’s literacy and population growth in selected countries from 1998 to 2000.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph shows that there is a clear correlation between the level of population growth and the level of female literacy in selected countries from 1998 to 2000. It can be seen clearly that the higher the population growth rate, the lower literacy rate. The level of population growth in the first five countries ranging between nearly 3 percent to 4.5 percent is higher than in the last five countries and each of the countries in the first group also had by far the lowest female literacy rate, namely from 8 percent to 21 percent compared to the range of 84 percent to 96 percent in the second group.

It is interesting that there are some countries didn’t follow the general pattern, especially Afghanistan and Colombia. With 9% of women being literate, Afghanistan had the second lowest level of female literacy although this country experienced the highest level of population growth, namely 4.5%. Similarly, population in Colombia grew at the rate of 1.8%, 0.6% higher than in Sri Lanka but the percentage of female literacy in Columbia was 6% higher than in Sri Lanka.

In conclusion, it seems that the trend in female literacy is opposite to that in population growth
