The bar chart illustrates how many minutes 2 sexes spent to complete household chores in Great Britain
Overall, it is clear that male and female spent more time cooking, baking, and washing up than the other activities. Besides the amount of time spent on household tasks by females are higher than males, except for gardening, pet care and maintenance, odd jobs
It can be seen that cooking, caking and washing up took female the majority of time to complete, with over 70 minutes per days, followed by for cleaning house, tiding accounting for approximately 60 minutes of their day. The number of minutes caring of own child and playing was higher than clothes washing, ironing, and sewing with nearly 45 and 25 minutes respectively. However, the least popular tasks for females were gardening, pet care, and maintenance, odd jobs, with 20 minutes for gardening, pet care and 25 minutes for maintenance, odd jobs.
In terms of males, their most prefer household chores were gardening and pet care, which were twice as much as of males have maintenance and odd jobs. Approximately 30 minutes was recorded in the group of male doing cooking, baking and washing up. While males spent 20 minutes caring of own children and playing , they gave a hand cleaning house, tidying or washing clothes, ironing and sewing, with only 15 minutes minutes and 2 minutes respectively
