Answer:
The amounts of money used to buy books in four nations over the period from 1995 to 2005 have been shown in the line graph. These four nations are Germany, France, Italy, and Austria. The units of measurement were millions of US dollars.
Overall, the people in all of the four countries spent more money on purchasing books throughout the period, but with different rates.
Germany always ranked first in buying books compared to the three countries. In the initial year of this period, it started out exactly 80 and end at around 95 millions US dollars after varying with small fluctuations of plus or minus 10 millions dollars. Italy showed a similar trend yet started at 50 millions dollars and had a value of slightly above 60 millions US dollars at the end of the period.
On the other hand, the figures for France and Austria mostly went up throughout the 10-year period. France was in the second place in purchasing books in this graph, showed its steady increase from approximately 55 to 75 millions US dollars. Austria just barely increased the amount of money spent on books over the first 4 years, from 30 to exactly 40 millions dollars in 1999, then remained the same value of money over the following 2 years. In 2001, it sharply increased and had the highest figure (slightly above 60 millions US dollars) at the end of the period.
