The given diagram demonstrates the production process on making sweeteners from sugar cane
Overall, it can be clearly seen that there are 4 important steps which are: developing, harvesting, evaporating, and drying then cooling when producing sugar using sugar canes.
The first step is to plant the sugar canes in 12-18 months to be sure that they are fully developed from roots to leaves. After that, farmers can either use a tractor to collect the canes or they can use a sharp blade to cut the canes off. Next, sugar canes will be put in a machine which helps crush the body of a cane so that it can be melted into juice.
In the following step, purifying juice is also a necessary process where a limestone filter is used to purify fresh liquid of the sugar cane through a small hole at the bottom to collect all the juice coming out of it. After that, an evaporator is in charge of making fire to burn up the evaporator so that juice becomes syrup. Next, sugar crystals are separated from syrup by centrifuging in a rounded-thing with some arrows. Coming to the final stage of the process, sugar will be poured into a big container for drying and cooling purposes in a few days before packaging to supermarkets.
