What expression is used when people tap their fingers, for example, on the table with the rhythm of music? Is it just 'tapping their fingers'?

I've heard "drumming" - Stop drumming your fingers! That's when you tap them each in order. It's a nervous habit of mine. But if you're just tapping along to the music, I'd use "tap."
