Tame or tamed?

"Out cat is tame" is English.

According to the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, "tame" is also used as a verb and it means "to train a wild animal to obey you and not to attack people."

Then is it possible to say, "Our cat is tamed," or does it apply to only wild animals, such as elephants and tigers?
