Talk/talked

Is this OK: This guy came over and tried to intimidate me by threatening to tell on me if I talk/talked to you again.

levis1 This guy came over and tried to intimidate me by threatening to tell on me if I talked to you again. I would use 'talked', but 'talk' doesn't strike me as wrong either. By the way, the idea of "telling on someone" is somewhat juvenile.
