Talking to parent

Talking to my mom at lunch about flying to Florida to visit Grandma. I say:

Did you tell Grandma I was going? Or

Did you tell grandma I was coming?

Are both useable?

Thanks!

  • PreciousJones Did you tell Grandma I was going?
  • Or Did you tell Grandma I was coming?
  • Both seem OK to me.
  • I'd use the second one, thinking of it in terms of Grandma's point of view.
  • From that point of view, you will be moving toward her.

Both seem OK to me. I'd use the second one, thinking of it in terms of Grandma's point of view. From that point of view, you will be moving toward her. She will see that as your coming to see her.
