Talking about stealing

Are you accusing my brother of theft?

1-No, I am not talking about stealing. I am talking about trespassing.

Is '1' correct in this context?

My problem with it is that 'stealing' and 'trespassing' are general concepts. They do refer to general ideas and not to one instance of 'stealing' or 'trespassing'.

Gratefully.
