Our group talked about some books that we have read in Korean and decided to read the same books in English.

How about the sentence above with "have read"?

Can "have read" follow the past tense "talked" in the same sentence?

1. To my ear it's iffy.
2. Yes, it can.

'read' and 'had read' will work as easily as (or better than) 'have read', and with practically the same meaning, but 'have read' can be used, in my opinion, if you also
