"Talk to" / "Talk with"


Hi there!

I would like to know if there is and what are the differences between “to talk to” and “to talk with” someone, no matter how insignificant or imperceptible they are. Emotion: smile

talk to suggests one-way communication. talk with suggests cooperative conversation with one or more other people.

A lecturer talks to a group of interested listeners. (They don't respond while he's speaking.)
You and your friend, sitting at a table in a restaurant, are each talking with the other.

Hello,you said here that talk to is one way communication.Does it mean it's simply a talk to someone and talk with,a talk with one or more people?.

I looked up in Macmillan Dictionary and I found that talk to is :

talk to

[transitive]

My interpretation of these two phrases is this:
Talk to- has an undertone of something personal you intend to achieve or resolve. i.e. John taked to his boss this morning about taking a few days off.

Talk with - has about the same meaning as discuss, or share and exchange ideas. i.e. Jan has talked with the neighbors about the idea of installing and splitting the costs
