Hello everyone. Let me ask you a question.
Regarding the following two sentences:
(A) Kate persuaded her father to buy a new computer.
(B) Kate talked her father into buying a new computer.
Are the two sentences the same in meaning? I guess that (A) just says "Kate persuaded her father," but (B) means "Kate persuaded her father and successfully got a new computer." But I'm totally uncertain about my speculation. What do you think?

I think Kate has an equal chance of getting the computer in both cases.
