What is the difference between talk and speak. How can it be used and where?

For eg... We can talk to each other at anytime but we don't speak much.

Is the above ok? Please help me in the above sentence also.

These words of oral amd written English are all verbs; talk and say are also nouns. The verbs mainly differ in their grammar.
Talk and speak are very similar; speak is more formal and less commonly used.
