One of the most impressive books I have read before was “mathematics for dummies”. It is a tutorial book which contains most academic topics on general mathematics and its physical applications. It is important for me for two reasons. First of all it is full of comic pictures which facilitate understanding complicated mathematical subjects. What’s more, it was an illustrated book, i.e. it was full of solved problems with different levels of complexity and each problem is illustrated with at least one picture.
