Dear Teachers,

1. I bought some villages yesterday at my hometown.

2. I went to my old Teacher's house in my holiday.

3. I saw your husband going out of the house this morning.

4. I bought a present for my mother's birthday yesterday.

5. I caught a taxi from the airport to my hotel in the center of HCM City at 2 yesterday.

6. We talked to a lot of/many friends in the party yesterday.

7. She wanted to eat at a restaurant but she didn't have any money last Tuesday.

- Are these natural to say?

Grammatically ok...but you don't often hear of someone 'buying villages'. Buying some land, yes.

Shouldn't it be in my hometown, in 1?

And in 5, the word order could be different, to make the sentence easier: "Yesterday at 2, I took a taxi from the airport to my hotel in the center of HCM City".

7. Last Tuesday she wanted to eat at a restaurant but she didn't have any money.

or

7. She wanted to eat at a restaurant last Tuesday but she didn't have any money.

This one attracted my attention immediately. Can you explain what you think 'villages' means? Is it something to eat? Is it some kind of game? I'm puzzled.
