'Talking of' has a sense of 'referring to'; especially in the phrase 'Talking of XYZ,...', which means 'with reference to...'

'Talking about' has a sense of 'discussing'.

1. Talking of football – did anyone see that interview with David Beckham last night?

2. We were just talking about last night's football. Did you watch it?
