"Taken" vs. "Frantic"

"Taken" owes a hell of a lot to "Frantic" - an American in Paris searching for his abducted daughter vs. American in Paris searching for his abducted wife.
SPOILERS
The difference is, Harrison Ford plays a guy who is completely out of his depth in a place where everything is foreign, alien, and he depends on others to find his way out. Liam Neeson is a killing machine who needs no one to rack up a body count that is ridiculous.

Words are all we have.

  • Just a different accent.

They aren't forcing him. He tells him that he doesn't have money but he does have a certain skill set and that he was coming to Paris and would kill them all. More like if Jason Bourne married and had a teenaged daughter.
