What is the meaning of the idiom "take things as they come" ?
According to a dictionary its meaning is "To accept and deal with events as they occur, with a composed state of mind."
So, does it mean "to deal with things in the order in which they occur i.e. things that occur first will be dealt with first and then the things that occurred next ?

The focus is less on the specific sequence of events and more on their randomness.

There's absolutely no sense of "first come first served."
It's not about dealing with A while keeping B waiting in the wings, or in abeyance.
