What does take a role to an extreme mean?
"Big brothers and sisters usually develop leadership tendencies early in life because of the responsibilities for younger siblings given to them by their parents. I'm sorry. I didn't understand. "If he/she takes that role to an extreme" means that if the parents give the eldest child a lot of responsibilities for younger siblings?
