Take somebody's name

"How dare you take the Lord's name in vain ?"

Hi,
First, you have to know that it is idiomatic. If you take the Lord's name in vain, you use it in a way that shows
a lack of respect. This idiom is mostly found in contexts where the Lord's name is mentioned.
You misused this idiom in your answer.
