Could you please explain the difference between 'take some time off' and 'have some time off' ?
"Would you be able to take some time off?"
If somebody says this, how long would this 'some time' be?

"To get some time off" sounds like 'to get some days off" to me, but could this one also 'a day' or 'a year' according to the context? Yes, the amount of time off is unspecified.
However, please don't get the idea that a lot of people get long periods like a year off.
