Take / ride the bus

Hello.

I am wondering how to correctly describe some actions related with the bus:

1) A week ago I took the bus to the museum.
I went on the bus, then went off and visited the museum. Just one trip. Can I say it some other way? For example that I rode the bus to the museum?

2) I like riding the bus.
In general, I just like this activity. Can I say it some other way? For example that I like taking the bus?

3) Yesterday I was riding the bus from 16:00 to 18:00.
It means that this activity just lasted two hours. Can I say it some other way?

Reegis 1) A week ago I took the bus to the museum. That is fine. You "got" on and off the bus, not "went", here in the US, anyway.

Yes, but that does not mean the same thing. The emphasis is on the ride itself, not the mode of transpor
