These are not wrong, but are a lot less common.
"take out a contract" Not really. Sounds to me a bit like hiring a hit-man to kill someone.

Sheltie, I've noticed you sometimes post a blank reply to your own posts -- I assume this is for the purpose of "bumping" them up to the top of the list. It shows a certain amount of impatience when you do it so soon after the original post. Also, I'm not sure how much it helps -- once a post shows a reply, people might assume the question has been answered.
