take or take a

i understand the word filthy, still can anyone answer this question(important)?

I know 'take a dump' meaning defecating, but would you interpret 'take dump' as the same meaning as well? how bout this following as a... article title?

'The day world watched him took dump' I want to know if people would interpret it as 'the day the whole world watched him took a dump'? please don't say take the long sentence, Thank you in advance.

I'm sure most people will understand what you're trying to say in the first sentence. I think the grammer in the sentence is incorrect. From my understanding, it must be "taking a dump" and not "take dump"
