Is this sentence natural? Is it correct grammatically to say “take it to mean”?
Someone says something that has a double meaning and than says :
Take it to mean whatever you want.

Describing someone as a “philanthropist” is supposed to be a compliment. It's too bad that some [take it to mean / interpret it as] someone who is rich and snooty.
