Take her easy?

Sam Elliott's character The Stranger says (in a Texas accent?) near the end of The Big Lebowski (1998):
-- I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowing he's out there, The Dude, taking her easy for all us sinners. --
He is not referring to any particular female character here, so can someone please tell me what he means by 'taking her easy'? I guess it roughly equals to 'taking it easy', but then again I'm not totally sure.

Thank you.

" It is a homespun affectation, changing the standard "it" in cliches to "her". That nondescript female finds her way into many expressions. " (get her done).

A little later in that same speech he says, "That about does her, wraps her all up." It is a homespun affectation, changing the standard "it" in cliches to "her". That nondescript female finds her way into many expressions. A recent coinage is Larry the Cable Guy's "Git 'er done!" (get her done).
