Take as my own, appropriate

Hi,

If my colleague took all the credit for a project I completed, could I use one of these?

"He took my project as his own."

"He appropriated my project."

Those don't mean exactly the same. If you mean that he took the credit, just say that.

"He appropriated my project."<<< OK, but it implies that he replaced you as 'the project leader'.

He took all the credit for my work. <<< Better
