take a photo

I refused to take a photo (of others). How about if I'd like to say I didn't want to be in their photo, so I covered my face. What would the sentence be? I refused to be taken a photo?! I fused to ..... a photo? What are the possible options? Could you please begin one of them with "I refused to..."
