Take a half-day off

Hi

Could you please tell me if these sentences are natural English? This is how they are used in Indian English.

(Context: Office/School conversation)

  • Could I take a half-day off today? I have a doctor's appointment at 3.
  • I just need an hour off. I must receive a guest at the airport at 2.
  • Some of the staff has been requesting time off work at different intervals and it becomes very unwieldy to handle. (Boss is talking in a meeting about different people requesting time off at different timings of the day)
  • It's a special day. What time will your school end today?
  • I'll call you back after the students' dispersal time. Around 4 in the evening. (when the students leave the school)

Thanks,

Tom
