Can you please give me an on-line dictionary reference for that meaning of 'take a call', nagariya?

Hello, Mister. I think that Nagariya is simply saying what the speaker is needing to put there. I don't think he is agreeing with her wording of "take a call." When I first read it, what he wrote also came into my mind, but after reading it again I realized that it is the wording for the decision he is referring to not agreeing with it. It is definitely "make a call".

I think this is a figurative use from sports.
Umpires are said to "make a call." It could be a strike, out of bounds, a foul, whatever. Their decisions are called calls.
I interpret the "take" part to mean that she has to make this call/decision.
No one else is going to make the decision for her; she has to take it (upon herself).

Excellent response, but I still don't think we use it this way, but you actually threw me off balance for a second. I can see where you would get the impression that we would use it this way, and for a second I had to consider this with much concentration, but I still think that "make a call" is the best answer.

I agree that it is a typo for make a call.
