tailored

What does the word "tailored" mean in such a context?

"We were sent letters from the school to say pupils must wear black, tailored trousers. In my opinion, [my daughter's] trousers are tailored."

In this context it likely means your daughter's trousers must properly fit (i.e., not be too baggy).

Is it correct to say "This suit was tailored to fit me." or "This suit was tailored to fit my body" How would you naturally put this?

Thank you!!!

Hi

Yes, and you could use phrases like that to compliment another person:

- That suit fits you perfectly - you must have had it tailor-made
