Regarding tag questions, I know sentence patterns like these:

John answered the phone, didn't he?
Alice couldn't answer the question, could she?

Then, how about cases like these? --

(A) Somebody answered the phone, __?
(B) No one could answer the question, __?

You can use "singular they".

Somebody answered the phone, didn't they?
No one could answer the question, could they?
