tablets/ lozenges/ pills

I take 2 tablets.
I take 2 lozenges.
I take 2 pills.

Are they same things?

Hi, All correct grammar. I never say 'tablet'. I say 'pill' for both tablets and pills.

The grammar is fine and they all, roughly, mean the same thing: you take, by mouth, two small objects of medication

What is interesting - and I've just checked this in the dictionary - is that the main difference is the shape!

- A tablet is usually rectangular

- A pill is usually round

- A lozenge is usually diamond-shaped

Yes the grammar is fine if you want to describe something that you do now and are going to do for a while

Yes, I agree with that. I got carried away with the tablets, thinking they'd be the same shape as other tablets: chocolate, writing materials, notepad computers, etc

But in fact medicinal tablets, as you say, can have various shapes
