Table (s)

Hi,

This question is on my job application form.
List all your Excel skills below.

In my answer, should I write list the skills as singular or plural nouns?
Ie,
(1) Table, combination of formula, chart, and filter
(2) Tables, combinations of formulae, charts, and filters

My opinion:
using (1), then use the singular word "table" to represent all skills related to table, for example.
using (2), then imply I have more than 1 skills relate to table, for example.

However, I don't know whether I should use (1) or (2)

Thank

  • List all your Excel skills below.
  • If you want to respond with one word, use the plural - tables.
  • But you have been asked to list your skills, and I don't see the single word 'tables' as a skill.
  • If you asked me what skills I had, I'd answer eg I can create and manipulate all types of table eg Creation and manipulation of all types of tables Clive

I would say 'tables'. But that doesn't sound like an advanced feature of Excel.
