I've always thought t its are nipples but my dictionary says they are breasts. Which is correct?

Actually, several dictionaries I've just consulted give both meanings, but I have never heard the word used to mean specifically nipples. It always means ******* to me. )

Actually, several dictionaries I've just consulted give both meanings, but I have never heard the word used to mean specifically nipples. It always means ******* to me.

(BTW, it's a vulgar word, if you didn't know -- at least in the part of the world I come from.)

"Teats" are nipples, which may explain some of the confusion. This would also be a vulgar, or at least inappropriate, word if applied to a woman (which is unlikely) but is fine for animals. I have never heard "****" used for anything but the whole package, so to speak, and I'm not sure where Mr. Wordy hails from but it's certainly vulgar in the US. "***" is also used for a single breast.
