Systematic vs Methodical

Hi

Would you say these two sentences carry the same meaning and are equally natural?

He is very systematic in his approach.

He is very methodical in his approach.

Thanks,

Tom

Both are natural and they have a similar meaning. "methodical" can sometimes (but not always) have a slightly pejorative tone that "systematic" lacks -- implying that someone is plodding and has little style or flair.
