Systematic / systematicity

I want to say that: I wish that a certain activity should have rules and fixed steps... be systematic

How can I say that?

"to ensure systematicity to the experience" does this make sense in English?

thank you very much in advance!

Hi

I might say something like ...

- Please make sure that you move all the boxes into the sorting area before you start opening them, to ensure that we are working in a systematic way

Thank you AlpheccaStars!

Maybe “experience” was not the right word.

"to ensure systematicity to the activity" how about now?

For instance, a school activity cannot be “uncontrollable”, right?

Thank you dave_anon!

So I could write:
“… to ensure that the activity is done in a systematic way”

Do you mean that the word “systematicity” does not exist?

Hi

The word “systematicity” does exist but it's used mainly in the study of language and in philosophy. It's not a word I would use in everyday language

It is not in any of the on-line dictionaries that I use. I've never heard this word used.

Yes, that makes sense.
Usually work activities are designed to maximize efficiency, that is, to eliminate defects, reduce wasted effort and material, and keep down-time to a minimum.

Hi

I must back Alphecca on the systematicity question - it really isn't a word that we would hear or use at all. But here it is, in use, in California ...

Thank you both for the extremely useful discussion and for your suggestions!

I am using “… to ensure that the activity is done in a systematic way”
