Hello,

Are the sentences below with and without "it" okay?

1. He threw a knife at me and hit me in back.

2. He threw a knife at me and (it) hit me in the back.

Or should it be as follows?

When he threw a knife at me, it hit me in the back.

#1 and #2 are correct as edited.

1. He threw a knife at me and hit me in the / my back.

2. He threw a knife at me and it (it) hit me in the back.

Or should it be as follows?

When he threw a knife at me, it hit me in the back. This is correct English, but it makes teh second part more important than the first part.
