Syntax

Hello everyone,

Are the sentences below natural?

1. His leg was cut off near his torso or the torso.

2. His leg was cut off near his knee or the knee.

3. His leg was cut off near his ankle or the ankle.

I'm not sure which one is more natural "his" or "the" or if "zero article" before "torso, knee and anke" is OK.

I'm sorry for troubling you.

Regards,

JA
