According to your answer, I will be wrong if I use "summer" as well. Am I right?
But if I use the phrase "this evening" at the beginning of the sentence as in the following, will my sentence be incorrect? - This evening may be raining.

"It may be raining this spring/summer/autumn/winter" is usually wrong. It may perhaps be possible in a special and unusual context.
"It may rain this spring/summer/autumn/winter" is possible only in a place where often there is no rain at all for a whole season.
