hello,im a polish student and need help...

Analyse the sentences below and identify the verb type (inter,m-t,d-t,c-t,I, acv)as well as the form and function of the UNDERLINED ARGUMENTS
(I will take those words in bracket instead underlie )

I don't understand why some of the words are in parentheses.
They are not verbs. And the sentences are not very natural ones.

a. The primatologist gambled away her welcome among the chimp family. (This sentence is not very natural. "Gamble" is transitive. )
b. Eddie Murphy was being vulgar during the interview. ("be" is intransitive)

Well, most of the time we divide the verbs into transitive and intransitive.
But grammarians have subdivided transitive verbs into monotransitive (one object), bitransitive (ditransitive) ( two objects), tri-transitive (two objects and a prepositional phrase,) and complex-transitive with an object and an object complement.

First, determine if the verb has an object. If there is none,
