Synonyms?

Hello. I would like to know if I can use the words component, element, and constituent as synonyms to talk about subject matters that appear in a given text. For example, in the example below, are these words interchangeable?

Research questions are relevant components of thesis introductions.

Research questions are relevant elements of thesis introductions.

Research questions are relevant constituents of thesis introductions.

For me, they all look the same, but I would like to hear a native-speaker's opinion about the issue.
