Synomyms?

I 'd like to find synonyms for "taken as granted", when something has grown so familiar you don't even notice it anymore...
There must be something with "part of..." (the scenery?), or "it goes with...?..."

do you mean 'it comes with the territory'? (I don't think that is really a synonym for 'to take for granted' though)

Thanks, Antonia, but here I need something that includes, not the contrary.
For example, if you buy an old castle, it's quite normal that you buy ghosts at the same time.
They're taken for granted", "they go with the territory".

How about a cultural assumption? Does that work? It's exactly what we do --- it's so "taken for granted" that it becomes our cultural assumption....Not sure of your context.]
